Enfant, j’observais. J’étais fasciné par le mariage d’éléments artificiels dans un environnement naturel. J’ai passé une bonne partie de ma jeunesse sur les chantiers de construction aux premières loges du processus de création d’un projet; de la table à dessin, à sa concrétisation physique.
Ce qui me plaît, ce sont ces espaces qui défient les normes par leur look inusité, leur fonctionnalité, et l’harmonie de leur esthétique dans l’espace. J’aime lorsqu’une création améliore l’environnement au point où elle simplifie la vie de ses utilisateurs.
J’ai passé la plus grande partie de ma vie à Montréal où j’ai fait mes études en Architecture et design d’intérieur. J’ai travaillé auprès de grandes firmes comme Sid Lee Architecture, IDX design + com. et Conceptum international, mais mon souhait était d’avoir ma propre agence. ABNORM studio, c’est l’aboutissement de ce rêve. J’y mets toute ma passion, mon énergie et mon expertise dans le but de créer des environnements intelligents pour un monde en constante évolution

When I was a child, I watched. I sought out purpose in the natural and man-made and then came up with my own ways of doing things. I grew up on construction sites following every detail of the construction process from an idea that spawned a plan, to a visual, perceptible existence.
Space that stands out of the norm by proxy stands out to me; spaces with edgy proportions filled with surprises and play on illusion; spaces that answer many needs at once; environments that can last and evolve; spaces that have a strong first impact on the users.
For much of my life I’ve lived in Montréal studying architecture + design and working for many firms including Sid Lee architecture, IDX design+com, and Conceptum International. Yet despite the tremendous magic I learned at those firms, I had always intended to eventually start down a path of my own. ABNORM studio is all of my life set to the single task of pushing an ideal into the mainstream.
